Happy Father's Day

Cory's first Father's Day!

We got to celebrate Cory's first Father's day, he was super excited. Cory is so glad to be a Daddy. I know that he loves being with Rowynne, it's fun to watch them snuggle and it's so cute when Cory makes her laugh. 

We started fathers day with some surprise presents and we got up early to go to church with Cory's family. In Cory's parents ward they give the men Pie on Father's day, Cory was glad he got to get a slice.

Cory's father's day gifts... He got a Pillow Tie (because any occasion that requires a tie deserves to be slept through) Flash Light, Camel Pack and socks for his Trail running.

After church we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Ivins house. We had  dinner with the whole family and got to celebrate the special men in our lives.

Everyone is pretty much enamored with Rowynne. I think most of our time now is spent just staring at Rowynne.

We ended the night with some yummy Ice Cream Sundaes... Robyn made this special one for Cory. I guess is was partly from Rowynne too, since it was made from Rowynne's poopy diaper. 

All in all a pretty awesome Father's Day!

One Man Band

Cory and I decided that we didn't want to cook friday night so we decided to go out. One Man Band has what we like to call cheap steak night only on Friday and Saturday so we had to go.  Where we go Rowynne goes... at least for now.  

Cory was making Rowynne bang on the table saying "me want food"... annoying and yet funny.

The Vibrating Chair

This post is to thank Missy for giving us the Vibrating Chair. This chair has become Rowynne's favorite thing in her whole little universe. Rowynne tends to like to be held, however if you put her down in her pink chair she doesn't scream or cry like other times.  The chair has become my savior, I love it. It saves me from having to carry her around all the time and never get anything done. 

The funny thing about the chair is that the vibrating mechanism turns off after a certain amount of time. I can always tell when the vibration has stopped because Rowynne always starts fussing and squirming  in her chair, but as soon as you push the vibrating button again she immediately quiets down. It's the funniest thing ever. That girl sure knows what she wants and makes sure that you know it too!

Saying Goodbye

After the week was over it was time to say goodbye. It was a very sad day the week had been so much fun and I loved having my family around.  I wish it could have gone on forever. We had lunch at Red Robin and got some burgers as our goodbye meal. I'm sure the waiter couldn't wait for us to leave, since we were there forever. However he was very on top of our drink refills. I think I finally even had to say I had had enough, which NEVER happens! LoL!

The Dustin BBQ

After our pool day we were all super hungry so we had a BBQ over at the Dustin's House. When we got there Angie had sent out Greg for some last minute supplies so Cory was asked to man the Grill. I think grilling is one of Cory's top ten favorite things to do. So of course he complied whole heartedly.

Tarren of course became the children's plaything. They dressed him up and dragged him all over the house. The girls loved Tarren, and Tarren just eats it up. He really should have been the oldest not the youngest, but I guess he will be the best Uncle to his two little nieces. That will have to do for now.

The Pool

When my family came for some reason they brought terrible weather with them. It had been cloudy and rainy for most of the time they were here. However one of the last few days they were in town the sun came out to play. So we all decided it would be fun if we went to the pool. We went to the AF pool and met the Dustin Clan there. They were super excited to see everyone, plus Tarren was one more person they could make do whatever they wanted at the pool. I think Tarren became the punching bag while he was at the pool, those girls were dragging him and dunking him all over the pool. But its okay he can handle it, it's what makes him such a good Uncle.

Marley wasn't as crazy in the water as she usually is, I think the volume of people at the pool was a lot more than she could handle. 

Rowynne spent most of the time with Nana under the awning, don't want to get that fair skin burned.

Rowynne loves to suck on pretty much anything you put near her mouth. Nana found that one out the hard way. I think she would have continued to suck on Nana's nose if we had let her. Funny little Baby!
