Birthday Photo Shoot...

If you didn't already know Cory is an amazing photographer he took some photos of Rowynne in her Birthday outfit. She looked super cute and Cory did an amazing job capturing our little sweetheart.  We will always remember this first year.... there are no words for how wonderful it really has been!

Birthday Party!

  We had a big party for Rowynne's 1st Birthday, just a few friends and family throw in some burgers and cupcakes and it was a blast. Apparently such a blast that the Birthday Girl fell asleep! I mean REALLY!! I plan this big thing and she doesn't even have the decency to be awake.... LoL. 

 The Birthday Girl.... She loved her new swing so much she fell asleep! 

She was asleep for most of the party but we waited until she was up to feed her Cake.

 Sorry Grandma and Grandpa about the Grass.... the confetti got a little out of the control and was pretty much all over the place by the time the party was over.

 Rowynne and her very own Cake.... (remember this is right after she woke up from her long nap)

 Rowynne was a little hesitant with the cake... I think the size was a little overwhelming to her. 

She didn't really seem to know what to do with it.  

 And then she wanted it off her hands... 

 So we  changed tactics... we went with one of the smaller cupcakes instead.

 She knew what to do with that! 

 She liked the chocolate frosting... 

 And then she decided she didn't even need her hands...

After her cupcake we started opening presents... Rowynne needed a little help but she was excited

After her party she was wiped out.... however I'm not sure why since she slept through most of it.

 She snuggled up with her new Teddy and Doll!

Mommy and Daddy love you so much, we are so glad we have you in our lives. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us. We our so grateful to have such wonderful family and friends near by.

Happy Birthday Rowynne!

          Happy 1st Birthday Rowynne

Can't believe this little one has been here for a whole year it seems like it has  flown by so fast. I can hardly remember a time when Rowynne wasn't a part of our family, I don't know what we would do without her. It was fun to celebrate Rowynne's birthday... we had planned a big party for the following saturday, so her actual birthday was low key.  She woke up to Birthday cereal (A White Family Tradition) and then Cory's family came over and we had Banana Cream Pie for dessert.

When she is older she will get to pick her own favorite sweet cereal. 

After Cereal we went right to the good stuff.... PIE! 

     I'm not sure why but everyone in my family has always favored Pie over cake, usually when it's someone's birthday the always choose Pie. I think over the years I have sort of won Cory over with this idea... cause for Rowynne's Birthday "day" we decided to have PIE! 

 We turned out the lights and lit her "one" candle and sang her Happy Birthday. Apparently she didn't some much like the dark thing... she was totally crying by the time we got the lights turned back on. 

Rowynne loved the PIE idea.... can you tell she was excited!

Easter Hunt #2

April 24, 2010 - 

So after the Easter Bunny came to our house we headed over to Cory's parents house for sunday dinner and a little surprise from the Easter bunny.  The Easter bunny had been very busy this year! 

This was Rowynne in her Easter dress/skirt!  She looked so cute and grown up.

The Egg hunt was a lot of fun, I think the hunt on saturday had prepared Rowynne for sunday. Because she was much better at finding eggs and putting them in her bag. On saturday we had to snatch everything away from her to put in her basket.... she didn't want to give anything up. But her second hunt she was much more aware what was going on, I think she enjoyed it a lot.

Easter Hunt #1

April 23, 2011 - 

So I posted this a little backwards. We had a Easter party with the Ivins family on the saturday before Easter. They have a big Easter Hunt in Grandma and Grandpa Ivins' yard every year. Some years more elaborate than others. This year it rained... which was a big bummer, but it didn't stop us from hunting for eggs anyways.

We kept her entertained in the laundry basket... for quite some time actually before dinner was ready!

Isn't it huge.... Aunt Robyn always finds the coolest things for Rowynne. 

 Some of the treats were a little tricky to find.... but somehow Rowynne managed them all!

On the hunt we also found some unusual "eggs" that the Easter bunny had left. 

Apparently the Easter bunny has quite a sense of humor. 

 After the hunt we went back inside to examine our loot, or at least some of us did..

 Not sure what Cory was doing! 

 Rowynne got new duckies for the bath tub... 

We all think she said "duckies" it sure sounded like it but not quite sure.
