Crafty Mom

Thanks to Aunt Robyn's much needed help I finally finished Rowynne's name for her room. 

We used the extra fabric from her quilt so it matches perfectly... It's awesome! Isn't it cute! 

It will be just the first of many craft projects I hope will be on the way. 

Now that I know I can do it there will be much more to come!

February 25, 2011 - 

Rowynne finally has enough hair at the top to make a tiny little ponytail... YEAH!! I have been waiting for this day since she was born! I'm so excited to start trying the many hairstyles that I have planned for Rowynne. 

Book Lover

February 23, 2011 - 

Now that Rowynne is pulling herself up she has figured out that she now can reach the books on our

bookshelf.  She likes to be quietly in the corner just pulling off one book after the other. It's quite funny but super annoying when you have to keep cleaning it up.  I don't know what she will do when she is walking... scary thought!

Standing Wonder

February 17, 2011 - 

Rowynne is now into the standing/cruising/pulling herself up on anything and everything stage. She is amazing! She is so funny I thought crawling was going to be a big step.... but this just means walking is that much closer. It's crazy I'm not sure if we are ready yet. I know that we now keep our coffee table clean and all the books off our book shelf even those not on the bottom shelf are always on the floor. Now that she can pull herself up on her own she can reach just about everything that will get her  into trouble. Can't wait to see what she will do next! 

Cool Dudette...

While out shopping at Target the other day Cory saw these baby sunglasses and insisted that Rowynne had to have them. Which was fine by be because they are super cute... and even better I have a pair just like them! Mommy and Rowynne will be matching in our sunglasses this summer. Bring on the sun!

9 Months

Rowynne is 9 Months..... Where  has the time gone! It's crazy she is growing up so fast I wish she would slow down. I love being the Mommy of this beautiful baby girl, being a Mom really is the best job ever. I love spending my days with Rowynne.... now that she is getting bigger she is so fun to play with. I love when she looks up and smiles at me or just wants to sit in my lap and cuddle. I know when she is older I will look back on these days and wish they would have lasted longer. But for now I will just enjoy my little one and watch her grow... and grow she did! 

These are her 9 Month Stats: 

88th percentile for height at 29 inches

41st percentile for weight at 18.3 lbs

47th percentile for head circumference at 16.7 inches 

 9 Months!

Kitchen Fun

 February 17, 2011 -

We had some fun in the kitchen. Rowynne is now at the stage where she follows me around EVERYWHERE! And I mean everywhere, if I leave a room its not long after when I see her crawling right behind me. It's the worst in the kitchen when I'm trying to make dinner.... or clean. She loves the dishwasher, if its open she goes right to it and starts pulling everything out.... or any other cupboard that has been left open. So sometimes to keep her busy we give her kitchen toys. This time it was her very own drum set with her wooden spoons and formula can. This kept her busy for quite some time!

After her drum session... she went on to finish that up with a good cry under the chair. I'm really not even sure why she was so mad... but it probably didn't help that I was taking pictures! Sorry Row!

Valentines Day 2011

February 14, 2011 - 

Valentines Day was great this year. It was Rowynne's first so that was exciting. I had to work, but Cory surprised me at work by picking me up with a bouquet of roses and took me to dinner. It was wonderful! Cory got a giant sugar cookie that I made plus his favorite Dr. Pepper. Overall it was a really great day, this Valentines day has been one of the bests. Im so glad we have Rowynne to be able to share this with her... so excited for next year!

She got a book from Nana called "Wherever You Are: My Love Will FInd You," and Grandma Lynette and Grandpa Mark got her a bath toy and a cool ball rattle.  Aunt Robyn made her LOVE shirt and Grandma Kathy got her her bib that said "My 1st Valentines Day." She is a very spoiled little girl.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

February 7, 2011 - 

I was doing some baking one day and made a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies.... since Rowynne was home with me I decided that one little cookie probably couldn't hurt too bad. So Rowynne was lucky and got herself a Chocolate Chip Cookie! She was very excited and probably would have like more.... but one was all she got!

Crawling = Destruction

January 16, 2011 - 

Now that Rowynne is crawling we are definetly learning somethings about how our Condo isn't baby proof! We have our dvd's in a book shelf below our T.V. it has never been a problem before, but now that Rowynne is mobile it has proven to be a terrible place for dvd's.... that is if we ever want them left alone. 

Rowynne's new favorite thing is to pull all of the dvd's out of the self.... and when I say alll I mean ALL!
