THE TABLE... FINALLY!

I know that you all have been patiently waiting for when we will start inviting you all over to our apartment. Well now that our apartment furniture is complete, you are all invited. We were lucky to get this table for Christmas from Cory's parents and thankfully it looks great in the apartment. Lynette looked high and low for the table of our dreams and boy did she do a good job.  Thanks Again!

 Merry Christmas to the Ivins!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

On Christmas I got one of the famous hand stitched Ivins stockings, so that was a cool surprise! It was filled with goodies from Santa which I very much appreciated.

My Mom and Family in Cali sent Cory and I some awesome stuff. One of which was this amazingly beautiful Willow Tree Nativity. It is so pretty and it will be the first nativity that Cory and I have owned together.
It was fun opening presents with Cory, mine were all super surprises. I'm not sure if Cory was surprised since he got pretty much everything that he asked for. But he was still super excited for it all. This was our little after Christmas pile. I got a GPS, a watch set, and lots of gift  cards. Cory got a bluetooth, watch, slippers, coat, and FAT MAN SWEATS! lol (inside joke) Overall it was a pretty good Christmas!
This is CORY swimming in all our Christmas day trash, also while modeling all of his new stuff! Lets just say he enjoyed his modeling session maybe a little too much! LOL!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE IVINS FAMILY!

Our First Christmas Together 2008

Our first Christmas was awesome! So awesome in fact that everyone wanted us to remember it. Here is a picture of all of the "Our first Christmas together, 2008" ornaments! Thanks Family!

The Gingerbread House!

We made GINGERBREAD HOUSES with Mike and Ally to celebrate the Holiday Season. It was a lot of fun. We used a pre-made house but hey decorating is the best part. Our house looked pretty cool!

December Music Madness!

So this December Cory and I got to go see some super Christmas Musical Programs. We went to the Musical Program at the Conference Center which was with MOTAB and Brian Mitchell Stokes. It was so awesome the singing and the Christmas stories were amazing. We are thankful to Cory's parents for giving us the tickets because the concert is such a big hit every year that they give the tickets away by using a raffle.

We also got to go see PLAID TIDINGS! Which is the musical sequel to FOREVER PLAID! Now this show I had to sort of talk Cory into. He had never seen the first one so he wasn't really up to speed on the whole background story. However all throughout the show I think he was laughing the loudest. Turns out Cory LOVED the show, and we even contemplated going a second time. If you have never seen this show really you must because it is so funny and yet still gets you in the Christmas spirit with all the awesome music.

My Mom was totally jealous that we got to go and she didn't. I guess that's one good thing about Utah cause everything is cheaper here, even Christmas Musicals!

Flubber or Jello?

So, I must say, this is the best Jello ever!  Mom had us over for dinner and she had a little surprise for us!  She made Jello Christmas trees.  They were oh so good, and also oh so jiggley!  Thanks mom!

A Grand Night out at Sizzlers!

So yeah, we went to Sizzlers, the food was good and all but there were a couple surprises.   First, the salad bar was a little disappointing but still good.  The second surprise was the endless shrimp...  Lets just say that once you were done with your first plate, the second will ruin your hopes for "endless" shrimp.  Yes, it was sad, but i'll tell you one thing, you can never get enough soda, they came over time and again, and we took care of it.  No Worries.  mmmmmm....

Yeah, so those are the first and "second" dishes of Shrimp... kinda sad.
Yep, we're boozers!

Christmas Trees and Coffee Tables

We got a CHRISTMAS TREE! Yeah, we started off the holiday season strong and added a Christmas Tree to our awesome apartment. We bought a bunch of lights and we bought glass balls that were red, white and silver. We still need something at the top so if you have some suggestions let us know!

Merry Christmas!

So this is our new coffee table and rug. Gotta love IKEA! We have been wanting one ever since we moved into our apartment. We needed it desperately. It really brings everything together and now I have somewhere to put my CANDLES!
Isn't it beautiful!

Super Bark......BOLT!

I eat danger for breakfast!........ You hungry? ............. Starving!

BOLT was super cute we saw the movie with Cory's family on Black Friday. We decided to go see a movie instead of braving the shopping malls. We saw it in 3-D which means we got to wear these wicked awesome shades.
I wore mine for the rest of the day, they were awesome.
The best character was the little hamster Rhino...He totally stole the show. It was very funny!

THANKSGIVING!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

So this was one of my first thanksgivings where I had to make food all by myself. We had Thanksgiving with Cory's Family and Grandma and Grandpa Ivins. We had tons of food and it was very tasty. However I wasn't as cool and collected as I would have liked. I joked to Cory that I dread the day I have to make a turkey for Thanksgiving cause I was stressed out with the little that I did bring. I made my California Family favorite we have it every year... Raspberry  Pretzel Salad. It was very good I have to say and everyone loved it! I also made broccoli and cheese sauce, cranberry sauce, and homemade carmel and apples.

All the yummy food I made! It was hard work!

This was Cory and I after all the food was in our bellies. We couldn't move for awhile.
Cory's belly was a few sizes larger, but It sure tasted good!

HOPE YOU ATE AS GOOD AS WE DID!

Savior of the World

Cory and I went to the Savior of the world with Cory's family. It was an awesome night. First we went to Crown Burger, Cory's Dads favorite food spot. Then we walked around temple square and went to the visitors square where we saw The Christis. Savior of the World was sooo  amazing, the music and acting was so great. Words really can't describe the spirit that we felt that night. Cory will hate me for admitting it but we both totally bawled through the whole thing. It was super good.

Yeah, there were a total of 7 squad cars!!!

So, the other night, Meygen and I were trying to catch some Zzzz's but we couldn't because there were a bunch of lights shining in our room from the road.  We wondered what it was until we looked outside and watched squad car after squad car park right in front of our apartment building.  What happened was that they had pulled over a vehicle with three passengers.  They cuffed one of them and the others had to stand in front of the car while the cops searched their car with a K-9 unit.  The dog went nuts in the trunk and they started pulling bag after bag of who knows what out of it!  I was really interesting to watch, but the best part was that people started leaving their apartments to watch!  They stood right at the fence and just stared at what was going on, like it was some kind of show (I swear I saw some lady in her bath robe and a tub of popcorn)!  Any who... It was quite fun to watch from our window.  Sorry the vids aren't that great but my camera doesn't like the dark.  Peacin' out- Cory & Megs

The Couch!

I LOVE RED!

Finally we got the COUCH! I've been waiting for this moment since we got married. I love the new couch it goes great with our apartment furnishings. We even got throw pillows and red curtains to match. I love red if you hadn't noticed. I made Cory buy me the red trash can, he laughed when I told him that I was basing the entire decoration of our apartment off our little trash can. Look who's laughing now! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The Apartment!

So we finally put up some pictures of the apartment, everyone keeps asking for them so here they are.

Our bedroom basically came from Ikea....I love that store! We finally put up all our picture frames that we got for our wedding, I know it took us a while. Cory was very excited to finally get our "O' Jerusalem" picture up off the floor of the closet. We used to joke that we kept Jesus in the closet.....Well no more!

First we have the Bathroom.....Which is the cutest bathroom ever and we owe it all to my Aunt Toy in California who basically purchased our entire bathroom for our wedding gifts. So we thank her very much cause without her it wouldn't be as nice! LoL! Thanks Aunt Toy!

We got our cute shelf from Bed Bath and Beyond....Gotta love those gift cards!

WE LOVE OUR APARTMENT.....ITS SO CUTE!

MARLEY WHITE-GARCIA

So this morning, November 19th around 9 AM my little niece Marley was born. She was a healthy girl of 6 pounds 11 ounces with all her 10 fingers and toes.  My sister Gillian was very brave and after a few scary moments (Marley was breech and they had to do a emergency C-section) gave birth to the most beautiful little girl in the family. Marley will be the first Grandbaby... so Im sure she will be spoiled to death. We cant wait to meet her in person!

WE LOVE YOU BABY MARLEY!
