St. George and Bands of America

Over the weekend we went to St. George with Cory's Family to see Regan and the American Fork Marching Band in Bands of America. Bands of America is sort of a big deal in band world, its a large competition with many different bands from the Western Regionals all trying to prove they are the best.

While in St. George we got the privilege of staying in a friends Condo which was the biggest Condo ever! It was super nice! This was a picture of the entrance to the Condos... Las Palmas! While not at the Band Competition we all decided to take a walk around the resort.
Mark and Lynnette.... Soon to be Grandpa and Grandma!
Cory and Meygen.... In front of the fountain!
SOOOO CUTE
Meygen in front of the view.... sort of the cliff at the edge of the resort!
You could see pretty far, the whole valley of St. George.
I was bundled up super good... it was so cold. Freezing cold! Cory seems excited though. Being in the bleachers watching the different bands was fun. I have never seen so many talented kids!
Playing the Wii! Down time at the Condo
Brotherly Love... Gone Wrong!
American Fork High School Band
Regan in the Pit
The American Fork band is so good that they actually took first place and took many different awards in the process. They are so amazing and it is such a great show!

Super Fun! Go Band!

The Apartment

This blog is for my Mom.... She has been asking for pictures of the new apartment since we moved in May. So this is where we live in Sandy, UT. Our apartment complex is called The Falls, it's only a one bedroom so we don't know how much longer we will be here once the baby comes. But it has been great so far. My favorite thing about this apartment is that we have our own washer and dryer that came with the apartment. It is so nice not having to drag all our clothes to the laundromat every week.

This is the living room

Another angle of the Living Room, the front door is in the right hand corner.

This is the dinning room, It has been nice to have an actual place for the table however we still don't use it that often since it also has become the computer table as well.

This is our little kitchen.... that back room is where the washer and dryer is.

This is me in the bedroom.... I'm watching TV and didn't realize that Cory was taking the picture.

The Bettas

For Cory's Birthday he got a Betta fish tank... so we went to Petco together and picked them out. He got a double tank so he picked one blue and one yellow. They are both males so when you remove the screen between the double tank they flare up like they are going to fight. It is super fun to watch.
Deepak is the yellow one.

Lokesh is the blue one.
Cory named them .... I have nothing to do with that weirdness!

Gillian and the Wii

While we were in San Diego Cory brought our Wii to play with the family. Needless to say Gillian got very into the Donkey Kong Game. The rest of us just watched her play because it was so funny. The video is dark but you can feel Gillian's intensity.

Wisdom Teeth.....

So I got my Wisdom Teeth removed right before we went to San Diego, which sounds like a bad idea but it actually wasn't too bad. I'm glad that my awesome grandma is a dental hygienist however because I was having problems with food getting stuck in my newly created holes in my mouth. The food collecting was starting to hurt so Grandma got out her tools and fixed it all.

However, as usual Tarren had to be Mr. Funny and the whole thing turned into a big joke.

Grandma with her tools in my mouth.... Cory was the light!
Tarren trying to help.... but mostly just attacking me with salt water!

Here are a few videos of the experience...... They explain a lot!

Cory's B-Day - September 11

Cory's Birthday was fun I came home early from work and decorated the whole house and even made a chocolate cake before he got home. He had no idea and it was fun to surprise him.

The Big 24..... Cory finally caught up to me!
Cory with all of his Birthday Loot! He got The Office Season 5, Beta Fish Bowl, and a Mini Fridge for the office. Oh and don't forget his Birthday Cereal, he picked Captain Crunch! Yummy!

Swiss Days

Cory and I went to Swiss Days for extra credit in his Humanities it started out as something that I thought was going to be boring and far away. Well it was far away but it turned out to be super fun, I hope we go back next year. We walked around all the booths, I got a few pieces of jewelry and we got a lot of food. We found out from a friend that all the proceeds of the food booths at Swiss Days went to the Missionaries of Midway, Utah. It's the only fundraiser that the Church endorses. So Cory and I decided to donate to the food booths we bought Swiss Tacos and the all time famous Scone! So delicious I wanted to eat like seven.

Midway, UT.
Home of Swiss Days!
When we got to Swiss Days are car was surrounded by vehicles, but when we left it looked like this. Our car was one of the last ones in the lot we stayed so late!
Cory and I went on a carriage ride around Swiss Days and the town of Midway. The guy riding with us was super talkative and we learned more about Midway than I ever thought possible.
I thought this was a cool building.... It looks Swiss!
Cory and Meygen!

Random Pictures....

I just found these on the computer and thought they were super cute so I added them. They are both from when we went to California!
Cory and Marley
He is going to be such a good Dad because he is such a good Uncle!
Me and Cory..... Lovin Life!

The Cabin Continued..... River Fun

So while we were at the Cabin we would walk down the road to the Tible Fork Reservoir. People were fishing and walking around, the water was freezing but it was fun. The silly boys were throwing Cory's flip flops around and then chasing them out into the Reservoir.

Kyle was carrying Chersty around the water and then Chersty tried to carry Kyle. However that didn't work out as well, she lost her balance and went right into the water.... it was sad but after knowing she was fine we all had a little laugh.
Cory and Kyle were playing some weird game were they were trying to push each other off balance. I don't think either one won!
Cory and Reagn were trying to see how long the could both stand in the freezing cold water. Again I'm not sure if there was a winner. They are both dorks with really cold feet! LoL!
The whole crew standing on the bridge over looking the reservoir.
Cory playing in the water... it was a lot of fun!

The Cabin

So back in like June we went with the Family to THE CABIN. I have heard about this Cabin since I married Cory. Every member of the Ivins family has a fun memory at the Cabin, so I was excited to make mine. The Cabin is changing owners so we might not have access to it anymore, so that made this Cabin visit all the more special.
This is the whole Family in front of the Cabin
Cory, Me, Chersty (Kira), Regan, Mark, Kyle, Lynette (Kasha)
The Cabin..... I think that is Regan by the door
The Cabin is still named after the Ivins family.... How cool is that!
This is Cory in our bed at the Cabin.... Sleepy!
Chersty said she could hear him snoring up on the second floor! LOL!

The Cabin was so much fun we played a lot of games, I read probably an entire book, we went on walks and played in the river. It was an awesome weekend I wish it had been longer.

3 Months No Blog... Until Now!

Soooo.... We haven't been blogging like we used to and I have to say sorry to all our loyal readers who have been pestering us to get on it. We have been otherwise occupied. However I promise to get back to my usual blogging speed. It has been hard to blog when I feel like vomiting all over Cory! But I will try.....

So if you haven't heard Cory and I are with child and are super excited about it. This was an unexpected surprise but we are both getting used to the idea. This is our first picture of the little one, it doesn't look like much but I swear it's in there! Cory circled the little bean because well this early it's a little hard to see. This was at about 8 weeks!
