Blessing Day

August 1, 2010 -

White Dress # 1

Upon my blessing day
As a little baby clothed In my first white dress,
My dad held me in his arms,
There to name and bless.
So pure and clean was I just then,
With time to grow and learn
About the Father's plan for me.
My glory I must earn.

Our Family

This day was such a special moment in Rowynne's life. I am so grateful to have a husband who is a worthy priesthood holder so that he was able to give our daughter a blessing on this day. Cory is such a great example to me and for our family. This day for me was so emotional, I think I was crying before Cory even began. It meant a lot to me to have all of our friends and family there to witness such a special event. I hope they will be there to celebrate the other times that Rowynne will be dressed in white. This was just one of three: Baby Blessing, Baptism, and Wedding in the Temple.

Family Party

July 31, 2010 -

Part of the reason that my family came up early was my Grandma Kathy's sister was having a big birthday celebration party and it was sort of turning into a mini family reunion. All the families were supposed to have matching shirts to distinguish them among all the many people. Since my family hails from San Diego, we all wore yellow shirts that said Sand Diego, Ca on them. Even the babies matched. Aren't we cute!

It was fun to see so many family members that we haven't seen in years. It was good catching up!

The whole family!
Jennifer, Meygen, Rowynne, Tarren, Grandma Kathy, Trey, Gillian, and Marley

Gillian was making Rowynne laugh... it was so cute!

Tarren was being his silly self again, Marley wanted her headband back that he stole.
It's a good look Tarren!

Marley with a noodle.... watch out!

Trey too cool for school!

Sunflower Baby

July 31, 2010 -

This is my beautiful Sunflower Baby.... and a happy baby too!

She is seriously the sunlight in my life, she lights up my world. I never knew parenthood would feel like this. When people say that you will just know... they are so right. I didn't know what it meant before, but now I couldn't imagine a day without this face shining back at me!

Park City McDonalds....Classy!

July 30, 2010 -

After the Alpine Slide and Coaster we stopped at Tarren's favorite place for a quick bite.... McDonalds.
And I of course took a bunch of pictures.... It's what I do!

Rowynne.... Almost 3 Months

Marley was wanting to play with Rowynne so bad. Which sort of meant try and pull her across the table. I think Rowynne needs to be a little bit bigger before these two can really have some fun together.

Gillian has taught Marley some really funny things, one of which is her "posing."
Gillian tells her to strike a pose for the Camera and this is what I got:
"Posing" ..... Work it girl!
So precious!

So silly!

Alpine Coaster

July 30, 2010 -

The Coaster was also one of the rides we did while in Park City. Everyone voted that the Coster was their favorite between the Slides and the Coaster. I think the next time they visit Utah we will do it again!

Getting buckled in the Coaster seats...

Gillian looks excited!!

They were all listening very intently to the instructions.... The guy was totally flirting will Gill, he said "she had beautiful eyes"!

Gillian giving me the thumbs up!

Alpine Slides

July 30, 2010 -

The family and I went up to Park City and we had to do The Alpine Slide and The Coaster, both Cory and I had done on our 1 year anniversary. Nana watched the little ones while us big kids went on the rides.

Nana had her hands full.

The Slides

Tarren, Trey, Gillian - On our way up to the top of the hill to go on the slide. It was super hot and we were all baking on the ride up. But it is such a nice view I would do it all over again anytime.

Riding the Lift up to the top

Gillian and Trey dragging there slide seats to the starting line

Tarren was a gentleman and carried mine. He is such a good little brother.

Getting on the slide
Trey and Tarren raced each other down, I believe it was a tie!
Gillian and I raced each other, And I totally beat her!

Gillian was starting to get a little nervous. But in the end she had a blast.

Tarren and Marley

I think pretty much no matter how big these two get they will always make me laugh!

So silly together......

Seven Peaks Waterpark

July 27, 2010 -

I haven't been to Seven Peaks in like years so while my family was here we all decided it would be fun to go. The slides were awesome and the two little ones had so much fun, Rowynne is definitely going to be a water baby. We will have to watch her when she can walk because I'm sure she would just jump right in. The four of us (Tarren, Gillian, Cory, and Meygen) rode all the rides in our tubes, Trey was coming later with BYU Sports Camp. Our favorite though was just floating in the wave pool, even Rowynne was so relaxed by it that she feel asleep.

Rowynne laughing.... So cute!

In the wave pool just relaxing and soaking up the sun

Wave Pool Fun

Marley was having a blast, she loves the water.

Cory and Tarren went on the BOOMERANG the rest of us were to chicken. It was way to scary. You could probably here them screaming like a mile away.

Mommy and Rowynne

Rowynne's first swimming experience. She totally loved it.

Bath Time

Rowynne and Marley taking a bath.... having a blast. However Marley didn't like the no splashing rule with the baby in the tube, she probably would have preferred to be on her own.

July 24th - Pioneer Day

July 24, 2010 -

My family got to Utah just in time to celebrate Pioneer Day. Since my family is from California where fireworks are illegal it was totally new the idea of fireworks you can set off yourself. Growing up we have only ever experienced fireworks in the sky, so Cory went to the store and brought home a huge bag full of fireworks to set off. Needless to say everyone went nuts, Marley was totally freaked, and I was sure that one of the boys was going to set something on fire.

They had so much fun it was awesome to see them all so excited about it. We were making so much noise I was sure one of our neighbors was going to come out yelling. We had a blast and was sad when we ran out, hope they can make it next year and we can get even bigger fireworks.  Happy 24th!

Gillian, Marley, and Tarren
Notice Marley watching the sparker very carefully, she didn't want that thing to get to close.

All of us trying very hard to set off our fireworks

Gillian and Trey lighting something.... Be careful!

FIREWORKS!!!!

Nana and the girls watching on the sidelines.
Rowynne could have cared less and Marley cried during most of it. SAD
