Christmas Money

January 14, 2010  -

So for Christmas Cory and I both got 50 bucks to spend on whatever we wanted from my Grandma Kathy. We were both excited... I mean how can you not be! So we decided that our 50 dollars was going to be for whatever we choose and we weren't allowed to use it on something practical... like baby food. So we each went out armed with our 50 dollars and went shopping!

This is what we came home with:

Cory's Pick:
A ridiculously huge race car.... And of course it's a Jeep!
Which Rowynne was initially scared of every time Cory drove it toward her she started crying and wanting me to pick her up. It was funny but sad at the same time. Needless to say if I had anything to say in the matter we wouldn't have brought it home, but it was Cory's choice and I had to deal with it.  Oh, and Rowynne loves the toy now, simply loves it, she giggles every time Cory drives it into her.

Meygen's Pick:
 Shoes.... Need I say more!

I love how both our picks sort of sum up our personalities. Funny huh!

Thanks Grandma Kathy!

Kyle and Danielle's Wedding

January 5, 2010 -

Kyle and Danielle are MARRIED! It was so fun to be able to share this special moment with the two of them. I'm super excited to have a new Sister In-Law. Danielle is super sweet and just a joy to be around, Kyle got super lucky with this one! It was such a great day, we started off at the Temple then had dinner at the Gathering Place then off to the Reception. It was a long but fun day! Glad we were able to be a part of it!
The Temple:

Kyle and Danielle when they just came out of the temple. It was freezing but it was a wonderful moment. I'm glad that Cory and I were able to be with them at the temple!

The Gathering Place:

Robyn and Grandma Ivins at the Gathering Place... the food was excellent!

Regan, Zach, Hannah and Chersty.... being silly at dinner! Pretty much a everyday thing!

Finally at the Reception:

Mommy, Rowynne, and Daddy... All dressed up for the party!

 The happy couple....

 Mommy and Rowynne....
Rowynne was so good. No fussing or crying and we were there all night. Way past her bedtime!

 Jared, Hannah, and Meygen

The cake... It was super pretty. Reminded me of my wedding! Can't believe it's been two years!

I loved the decorations. Danielle was so creative!

 Grandma Lynette and Rowynne

They smashed the cake... I wouldn't let Cory do it to me! LoL

Throughout the wedding, they had this chalk board up were guests could write Kyle and Danielle a note and then take a picture with it. It was such a good idea, I had never seen it done before.

This was Rowynne's note:

Happy Marriage Day... Kyle and Danielle!
We Love You Both!

Basketball... Basketball... and More Basketball!

December 27/28, 2010 -

Tarren had a basketball tournament while we were in town, so we got to go to a couple of his games. Rowynne loved it. She would clap and talk throughout the entire game. It was a blast to be able to see my little brother play. I hope he keeps it up... maybe even play some college ball. He is fun to watch!

 Rowynne and Pappa (Grandpa)....

Tarren on the bench with his team... I think he played most of every game!

Nana and her girls.. Sometimes Marley had a hard time sharing Nana with Rowynne.
But we made it work.  :)

Marley and Rowynne got these matching outfits so we dressed them up for one of Tarren's games. People kept asking if they were sisters. LoL

Rowynne and Marley... Marley was trying to hold Rowynne on her lap! So cute.

The girls....

I am going to miss these two playing together. I hope we will see them again very soon!

Julian Trip

December 27, 2010 -

While in California we took a trip up to Julian. Julian is about a hour trip away from Sand Diego. It is famous for there Apple Orchards...(Apple Pie) and the occasional snow fall. In fact its the only place close by that gets snow. When we were little we used to drive up to Julian to play with the dirty snow on the side of the road! HaHa. I see the irony now.... since I live in the snow 4 months out of the year now... dreading everyday of it! But back then it was pretty exciting. Cory had never been before so we had to make the trip.

Rowynne and Cory.... There wasn't any snow yet but it was still pretty cold.
But Mr. Utah didn't want a jacket.

Rowynne... Doing weird tongue things. It is becoming sort of a habit with her!

We got tired pushing two strollers so we put both babies in one. It was okay for a while but didn't last too long. Rowynne kept trying to steal Marley's sucker!

 Daddy and Rowynne

Rowynne finally got her hands on that sucker... It was hard to take it away!
She is becoming a candy junkie!

Christmas Day 2010

December 25, 2010 -

Christmas was finally here! Now that we are all older we aren't up at 5 am to open presents. In fact I believe that Rowynne was one of the first people up around 8:30 that morning. She got us all moving and after a hearty breakfast we were all exited to open presents. This was Rowynne's first Christmas so Cory and I were probably more excited than anyone. I couldn't wait to see what she thought about all the presents. It was great to be home for Christmas, it had been awhile. I wish we could be down here every year. It was so much fun.

 The Kids all Grown Up!
Gillian and Marley - Cory, Rowynne and Meygen - Tarren - Trey

The Christmas Tree.... Surrounded by TONS of gifts!

My Santa Baby... She was all decked out for her first Christmas!

Marley was excited that Santa ate the Cookie she made

We did stockings first which Rowynne enjoyed....

 Our Stockings

 Rowynne with her stocking....

Her Monkey friend from her stocking has magnets in it's feet so Cory put it around her neck. Surprisingly she didn't seem to mind.

All of the goodies from our stocking... Rowynne just wanted to put it all in her mouth!

Then Came the Big Stuff....

Cory and I got some Cutco Steak Knives... to add to our Cutco Knife collection that we got when we were first married.

Rowynne, Marley, and Nana got a combined gift from Santa. It was a kitchen set with food! The girls loved it. Marley was so excited so started right into it the second we got it out of the wrapper.
Rowynne just tried to put all the food in her mouth. But it will be a fun toy to play with whenever the girls are at Nana's House.

Rowynne and Marley with the Kitchen Food

Rowynne got a Tutu from Nana.... So Cute!

Rowynne was getting into ripping the paper... That is when she wasn't trying to eat it!

 Great Grandma Kathy and Rowynne

Rowynne was pooped after a long Christmas Day!
But it sure was fun.. Can't wait till next year

Merry Christmas
