Pirate Park

July 13, 2011 - 

       My Mom takes Marley to many different park around were we live, and Marley has given each of them a name. This park that we went to was deemed the "Pirate Park" by Marley because some of the structures looked like Pirate Ships. Marley loved showing Rowynne around the park... mostly Rowynne sort of just tried to keep up. But the two of them had a blast together.

Splash Park

July 12, 2011 - 

    Over by my Aunt Toy's house they have this cool water park, it's really more like a bunch of sprinklers and misters set up all over the park but the kids love it. Rowynne was a little worried about it at first, but she warmed up with a little help from Auntie Gillian. She would only run through the mister if Gillian was holding her hand.

Marley had a blast, apparently Gillian takes her to the Splash Park often because she loves it so much, plus it's free!

July 12, 2011 - 

     Since we don't actually have a pool at our own house we tend to go over to Julie Prows house a lot in the summer. I actually used to babysit Julie's kids when they were little... now the oldest one just got married and another one is on a mission. Seriously where did the time go! But luckily for us Julie says we are always welcome! So we went to the pool and cooled off with a little swim!

July 11, 2011 - 

     After the girls came home from the park we were all just hanging out at the house, when both Gillian and I looked at each other and were like "it's really quiet in there"... both of the girls had been playing together in my Mom's room which normally you would be able to hear the screams!  However the closer we got to my Mom's room we started to hear little giggles.... and then we walked around the corner and this is what we saw. Both Rowynne and Marley were in the tub fully clothed, Rowynne even had her socks on! 

The girls were having a blast in the tub, neither one seemed to be bothered by the fact that they were still in there dresses.

Highland Ranch Park

July 11, 2011 - 

     It seemed like everyday we were in San Diego my Mom was taking the girls to another park. They had to go early before the slides were burning hot from the sun, so this day I slept in and let Nana take over. The girls loved the park, Rowynne is just getting big enough that she can climb on everything and follow Marley around fairly well.

   After everyone had left the girls snuggled up together on the chair, each with a little cup of Captain Crunch! I just had to take this picture... aren't they so cute! 

More Birthday...

July 10, 2011 -

  So this year I turned 26.... I know I'm old. I seriously don't know where the time is going I don't feel like I have been around for this long but I guess now that I am about to be the Mother of two I can officially say that I'm not a kid anymore!  My poor husband was kind enough to let me stay in San Diego on my birthday... but I did miss him terribly, but it was nice to spend my birthday with friends and family I haven't seen in forever. Like Autumn's family, they live in Hawaii and if I'm lucky I get to see them once a year. But I was so excited to hear that they were visiting the same time I was and even better I got to see them on my birthday!

   While we were in San Diego it just so happened to be my birthday.... 

So in continuing the "White Family" tradition of Birthday Cereal, I got Captain Crunch!

The Beach

July 9, 2011 -
  We of course had to make our way to the beach, what's a trip to San Diego without a trip to the beach. Rowynne has been to the beach before but this is the first time that she was big enough to play in the sand by herself. Needless to say she had a blast... I knew she would. Rowynne loved playing in the sand we made sand castles and she would knock them down. We even buried Marley in the sand!

She even wasn't afraid of the water... however still a little too cold for Mommy to get all the way in. 

 We buried Marley's legs in the sand, she kept digging them out while Rowynne watched in awe!

This is a clip of Nana pulling Rowynne around on the surf board. Marley was too afraid to do it but Rowynne jumped right on even after flipping over a few times into some on coming waves.  She had a blast at the beach, we will definitely be going again!

   You know I have to have a least one post of these two in the tub... they are just too cute to pass up! Rowynne and Marley had a silly hair contest in the tub.... I think Rowynne needs a little more hair before she can really become a contender in this race!
