Easter Hunt #2

April 24, 2010 - 

So after the Easter Bunny came to our house we headed over to Cory's parents house for sunday dinner and a little surprise from the Easter bunny.  The Easter bunny had been very busy this year! 

This was Rowynne in her Easter dress/skirt!  She looked so cute and grown up.

The Egg hunt was a lot of fun, I think the hunt on saturday had prepared Rowynne for sunday. Because she was much better at finding eggs and putting them in her bag. On saturday we had to snatch everything away from her to put in her basket.... she didn't want to give anything up. But her second hunt she was much more aware what was going on, I think she enjoyed it a lot.

Easter Hunt #1

April 23, 2011 - 

So I posted this a little backwards. We had a Easter party with the Ivins family on the saturday before Easter. They have a big Easter Hunt in Grandma and Grandpa Ivins' yard every year. Some years more elaborate than others. This year it rained... which was a big bummer, but it didn't stop us from hunting for eggs anyways.

We kept her entertained in the laundry basket... for quite some time actually before dinner was ready!

Isn't it huge.... Aunt Robyn always finds the coolest things for Rowynne. 

 Some of the treats were a little tricky to find.... but somehow Rowynne managed them all!

On the hunt we also found some unusual "eggs" that the Easter bunny had left. 

Apparently the Easter bunny has quite a sense of humor. 

 After the hunt we went back inside to examine our loot, or at least some of us did..

 Not sure what Cory was doing! 

 Rowynne got new duckies for the bath tub... 

We all think she said "duckies" it sure sounded like it but not quite sure.

Easter Morning

April 24, 2011 - 

Easter morning was great it was fun celebrating Rowynne's first Easter last year she was still in my belly!  The Easter Bunny had visited us in the night and left Rowynne a big surprise! 

 Rowynne's Easter Basket.... Filled with Goodies. The Easter Bunny went a little overboard this year (being her first and all) and couldn't fit everything in the basket! LOL

 Hence her sand toys sitting "next" to the basket. 

Rowynne wasn't hesitant at all... she dove right in to her easter baster! 

 Going for her jelly bean filled eggs. She new right where to go first! 

 HaHa.... This face is so bizarro! Not sure what she was thinking! 

But she is sporting her pink bunny ears. 

 The Easter Bunny brought Rowynne "Tangled" ..... she was very excited!  

 Didn't know what to think about the pink grass she kept pulling it out of the basket one strand at a time.

The other day Cory and I made brownies... just a special treat for the two of us. After they had finished baking Cory put  a couple brownies on a plate to share.   We didn't give Rowynne any, she really doesn't need any more chocolate than she already has in her short life so far. After Cory and I had finished our brownies the plate was just sitting on our coffee table. Which we have discovered is not somewhere we should put anything we want to keep from Rowynne. 

The next thing I know Rowynne has gotten the plate from the coffee table and was licking every last crumb of brownie of the plate. It was hilarious... I guess she knew that I was worth the effort! LOL

Happy Birthday... Preview

April 8, 2011 -

 On the last day that my family was here we celebrated Rowynne's Birthday... Just a little bit early but it was important that my family got to participate in the festivities as well.  Since we had all been sick the past few days... some sort of stomach flu thing, went through just about everyone even the babies. Rowynne was still feeling crummy so she wasn't as happy as we all would have liked, but it was a blast either way.
We went to JCW's and took over a small area of the place, my family loves to eat here when they come to visit. We all got huge hamburgers and even bigger shakes all to celebrate this little one turning 1. Isn't is crazy how time flies. It feels like just yesterday that we were at the hospital counting down the hours till her arrival.

Then came the dessert. I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to go. Rowynne is no stranger to sweets so I assumed that she would like it but wasn't sure how she would handle it. If she was going to be a lady and act all delicate... or dive right in!

The OREO.....

April 7, 2011 - 

My sister Gillian insisted that we go get some Oreo's so we made her happy and got a package of Double Stuff Oreo's.  Really Double Stuff is the only way to go when eating an Oreo. Rowynne was happy with our choice too since we gave in and gave her one.

Not sure how she got cookie all the way to her eye.... But she seemed very satisfied after her cookie was gone! Yummy!
