The Beach

In San Diego while visiting the family we went to the Beach often! It was one of the things I insisted on, I wanted to be at the beach as much as possible. And well Cory wanted to east a Cheddar Link that Denise and Mom cooked out at the beach. We got to do both!

Tarren was teaching Cory and myself how to surf. It was actually a lot of fun, I'm not going to say who was the better student.... But It might have been ME! However, Cory did very well.

Marley Sleeps!

Marley can sleep anywhere.... its official! While we were all sitting around the table playing our favorite game... Mexican Train. Marley apparently didn't find our game all that exciting and fell asleep.  It was quite funny we were all amazed she could sleep like that. It must be nice to be that small!

Happy Birthday... To Both of Us!

While we were down in San Diego, My mom wanted to celebrate both Cory and My birthday. So we went to this really cool little place downtown called Extraordinary Desserts. It was sooooo good. And yes they were Extraordinary! 

Cory and I shared our Birthday Balloon... Tarren was giving me bunny ears!

24 Years Old

Geppetto's Toy Store

While in San Diego we went to Geppetto's Toy store, it was right next to our favorite food place... Wahoo's. So on our little detour I found tons of toys for my future children and my own very large child... Cory... who seemed to enjoy the store even more than little Marley.

Where did the Flowers Go?

So after our walk down the Ocean Beach pier Grandma Kathy decided to show us all the Flower Fields.  However I guess she forgot it was the middle of August , so all we found was a lot of dirt and mud. Turns out the Grandma just wanted Cory to see the view, even if there weren't any pretty flowers. If you are ever in the area in the Spring I suggest you stop by because when all the fields are in bloom it is gorgeous. My mom used to take us all the time when we were little, it was so pretty.

A Fun Treat at Ruby's on the Pier.

We had a lot of fun in California with Meygen's family.  One of the fun things we did was go to Ruby's at the Pier and have onion rings, fried zucchini, and really yummy malts!  It was so good and so much fun.  Marley liked it especially because she threw a cup of water on Grandma Kathy, it was pretty darn funny!  Here's a few pics of the fun!

Kyle is Home!

On July 24th, Friday evening Kyle Guy Ivins came home from his Mission in Hamburg Germany.  He served for two wonderful years bringing the people of Germany to Christ.  It was so fun to finally see him!  It was funny to see him with all the new things in the US, like Blackberries and updated computers etc...  Hooray for Elder Ivins finally getting home!

Slides and Coasters

While we were up at Park City for our anniversary Cory and I rode both the Alpine Slide and Alpine Coaster. I have never done either so I was super excited. 

This is Cory and Me riding on the Ski Lift to take us to the top of the slide. It was super hot and we were both totally melted by the time we reached the top of the lift. 

Cory was trying to take pictures of the coaster on the way to the top of ski lift. It is so cool if you have never been I would you suggest that you do. Its like this crazy mini coaster that you control on your own. It was super fast, the people would fly by us and I was getting a little bit nervous. 

I took this picture of Cory when he was dragging our little slides to the top of the hill. He was being such a gentleman and wouldn't let me help.  He has such a cute little behind! 

FUN FUN FUN 

The Cake!

So we officially ate the 1 year old Cake that has been in our fridge since July 23!  It even came with us when we moved. I was a little hesitant at first to eat it... I mean it has been just sitting there for 12 months. Sort of gross, however I sucked it up and cut it anyways. 

This was the Cake after I pulled all the dead flowers out of it. I guess we forgot to take those off when we boxed it up! LoL! It was weird to see it again, brought bake some crazy memories from that wonderful but hectic day. On the day of our wedding the only piece of cake that Cory and I ate was the piece that we smashed in each others faces, so I guess it was good to finally get a piece. 

The fondant on the cakejust peeled right off the cake. We didn't eat that part!  There was actually icing between the fondant and cake, I believe they call it dirty icing a cake. I got that little tidbit from Cake Boss!  The cake was half bad with a little of the regular buttercream icing. 

The cake was strawberry filled..... yummy! This layer was Cory's choice! 

Cory thought it was very very yummy! I think he even ate two piece of the cake! LoL! 

Park City Mountain Resort

The Night Continues......

So for Cory's big surprise for our 1 year Anniversary, he took me to the Park City Mountain Resort. It is this beautiful Hotel that is literally built into the Mountain. It was so gorgeous. I was totally shocked... I had no idea what he had planned and I was very surprised when we pulled up.

We could see our Hotel and Pool from the lift. The pools were so great, they had about 7 different Hot Tubs and each one was a different temperature. We tried one of the Hot Tubs and we literally could only stand in it for like 20 seconds... it was that HOT! But it was a lot of fun!

Our 1st Anniversary was the best ever. I don't know how Cory will ever top it again!
