Family Night with the AF Band

September 20, 2010 -

Family Band Night... Rowynne and I went to Family Night with Grandma Lynette and Grandpa Mark. Family Night is the first show for the Band, it sort of starts off the next crazy few months of tons of performances and competitions. Its fun to watch the first show and then the last show to see how much the band improves over those few short months. We missed Daddy he had to work so he couldn't join us. But i think Rowynne had enough fun for us all, she totally loved watching the band. She was laughing and talking and kicking her legs around. Rowynne was having a blast. It should be a fun year taking Rowynne to all the Band performances watching Aunt Chersty and Uncle Regan boogie down!

The Fair

September 18, 2010 -

The Fair... We finally made it to the Utah State Fair in SLC. We went on the second to last day and there were so many people we could barely push the stroller through the mass of carnies. Rowynne didn't even seem to notice as she slept through most of it. But it was still fun to show her all the animals, I'm sure she had no idea what was going on. But it was still fun to take her. One of my favorite things at the fair last year was the giant fried zucchini on a stick, Cory and I walked and walked looking for the booth but we never found it. I was soooo bummed, it's like my favorite thing. However the big thing at the fair this year was the fried chocolate covered bacon.... gross! Cory actually wanted to try it but the line was so long we gave up. I was sort of glad! LoL!

We watched the wild animal show.... The Tiger seemed very unimpressed with us all. There was even a Sea Lion show, but we didn't make it to that one in time!

Doctor Visit

September 14, 2010 -

Today was Rowynne's 4 Month checkup with Dr. Christensen. She was a champ as usual, smiling at the nurses and cooing at the Doctor. She cried for a second when she got her shots but as soon as I picked her up she was good. I swear this kid is the best!

Her 4 Month Stats:

Height - 25.75 Inches 90%

Weight - 14.75 lbs 68%

Head Circumference - 15.9 Inches 29%

Happy Birthday Cory

September 11, 2010 -

Happy Birthday Cory... The big 25! Cory finally caught up to me this weekend, we celebrated Cory's birthday this year with a BANG. We started with presents at midnight... then I surprised Cory at work and took him to his favorite restaurant... The Bombay House! So yummy. Then we went to the promenade and walked around... Cory saw a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee... A birthday miracle! Then it was back to Aunt Robyn's to pick up Rowynne and have cake and ice cream!

It was a great day!

Minnetonka Cave, ID

September 6, 2010 -

While we were in Bear Lake we took a drive up to Minnetonka Cavern. Minnetonka Cave is located near the town of Montpelier in the Caribou National Forest. Minnetonka cave is comprised mostly of limestone, and the entrance to the cave is more than 7,700 feet high. The half-mile route through the cave is lined with stalactites and stalagmites. There are more than 400 steps up and down in the cave, and is cool at about 40 degrees year round. It was a fun family trip and what a hike!

Bear Lake... Ivins Reunion

September 3-7, 2010 -

Ivins Family Reunion

The house we stayed at was called Bear Lake Ranch, it was huge enough for us all to have a bedroom. We played games, went to the beach, and just had a blast as a family. It's very cool that a family this size is able to have EVERYONE get together and be together. It's one of the best things about living close to family. I wish that my family was just as close. I guess San Diego isn't too far! Each family got a day to be in charge of meals. Cory and I were in charge of Saturday night, we made Lazy Enchiladas a White Family favorite and of course my famous pretzel jello. Everyone loved it and I was glad that we pulled it off, I was a little nervous cooking for that many people.
