Vacation (sort of), in St. George!!!

American Fork High School Marching Band hosted the Bands of America Western Regionals this last weekend in St. George, and it was great!  There were so many wonderful bands there and they all did amazingly.  American Fork took second overall and some sandy haired Californians took first.  But that's okay, because AF won last year and they'll win again next year.  Anyway, it was a really nice time for everyone involved.

Meygen and I were able to escape the crazy day to day stuff which was wonderful, we got to go for a bike ride and just enjoy the nice weather.  I took a few hours out of our Saturday, which I must apologize to my dear wife for doing, but our car needed new tires big time.  It was a good thing we got it taken care of too, because the Patriot's alignment was about as straight as Elton John.

Here are a few pics from the trip.

The sink turned out to be the best seat in the house for Rowynne.

Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed their time with the little lady.

Row didn't even notice the camera, she was too busy watching the bands perform.

Here she is with her eyes glued to the field (she even conducted a little as you can see from the video:

Playing in the stands.

Our family and daddy's . . . smile. . .

That's one big "R" for Rowynne.

I don't think she got it.

Set it . .  get on it!

This was on Saturday during the regional's prelims.

Rowynne fell asleep while we were waiting to get back in for finals.

It was a bright sunny day when we left on Sunday.

Megs and I got to go to the Temple on Friday while Grandpa and Grandma watched Rowynne.

This is how you get into the temple for those of you who have never been there.  We really loved it there.  It's a bit different from the more modern temples and it was a wonderful experience to go and visit the house of the Lord.

Signing out,

Cory

Wish I could have tagges along in your suitcase -- looks like a blast. I especially like the porcelain playpen for 'you know who'!
