Marley loved having her Cousin Rowynne around to play with. She loved holding her and giving her kisses. She was so sweet. Can't wait till these two are older they are going to be best friends.

Girls Pie Night

July 17, 2010 - 

So us ladies all got together one night and decided to have dessert night.  Grandma Kathy had the day off so we went over to her house to play games and have a little fun. Since it was just us girls we decided to get something a little sweet to go with our games. The four of us couldn't exactly decided on what or where to go, so we went to Marie Calenders and got three different pies. Yes thats right... THREE... pies for four people and a Marley. We got Fresh Peach, Chocolate Silk, and Double Lemon. The pies were super yummy and the night of games was even better. It was nice to have just us girls together.

July 14, 2010 - 

While Rowynne and I were in California visiting my family, we stopped off at our friend Julie Prows pool. Rowynne didn't really do much at the pool but Marley was like a crazy fish child. We almost couldn't drag her out of the water, she was so fun to watch. Julie's pool had a big rock slide built into it, it was pretty fast but Gillian risked taking Marley down it. Needless to say Marley loved it and wanted to do it over and over again.

The Car Show

July 10, 2010 - 

Part of Steel Days was the annual car show. It's a really cool thing, they do this big drag down main street after the car show and they have some really sweet cars that are apart of it. Cory was super excited about it, so even though it was my day we took a little stop by the car show. We didn't stay long since it was like 100 degrees outside and Rowynne was sweating like a little piglet. 

Cory loved this car.... no he has one like it (sort of). 

This was the biggest truck I have ever seen. Me and Rowynne looked like little people standing next to it. I have no idea how the owner even gets into this car. It's nuts.

Steel Days/Birthday Continued.....

July 10, 2010 -

Steel Days just so happened to be on my Birthday so I got a Parade in my honor. Or well I guess thats what I told myself. We also got up early and went to the American Fork Band Breakfast, to show our support. Plus it was good food for a good cause. Mark and Lynnette were both working at it so we had to say hello. After the breakfast the Parade started... Rowynne loved the parade so much that she slept right through it.

After American Fork Marching Band came through the Parade, Chersty and Regan made there way back to our blanket to rest and cool off. It was a super hot day I don't envy them marching in the heat. 

After the Parade we got to watch the fireworks. Such a cool way to end my birthday. With a BOOM!

Meygen Turns 25! 

Happy Birthday to Me...... On my birthday I woke up to lots of fun decorations and presents, and even my birthday cereal. My hubby Cory is the best I was totally surprised, I guess he had been awake most of the night decorating and wrapping presents. But he did a very good job, I had no idea.  My new phone was waiting on my nightstand all ready to go, Cory had put all my contacts in earlier so I could use it right away. It was awesome. Plus I had my favorite Key Lime Pie waiting for me in the fridge. Super yummy.

It was a great start to my birthday, we had a lot planned for my special day. 

2 Months

July 7, 2010 - 

Rowynne is already 2 months and it was time for her check up. 

Stats: 

11 Pounds 6 Ounces

23.5 Inches

69th percentile for Weight

86th percentile for Height

26th percentile for Head Circumference (little head)

And then came the shots. Rowynne did surprisingly well, she screamed pretty good during the poke. But as soon as that Nurse had the Band-Aids on she was fine. She took those shots like a trooper!

Fourth of July

July 4, 2010 - 

We celebrated the Fourth of July with another parade. We went to the Provo Parade which is a big deal here around Utah. Apparently people from out of town come to this parade, people came out for days on the street to get a good spot. We lucked out since the Privett's daughter lives right on the Parade route, so she saved us all really good seats. Besides being ridiculously hot the Parade was a blast. Rowynne was awake for most of the parade which was fun, all the noise didn't really bother her, until her Daddy was screaming at Chersty and Regan as they went by with the Band. She totally started screaming and crying bloody murder at that, the sirens and guns going off didn't bother her one bit. I guess that is good for Cory to know... no yelling around Rowynne she definitely doesn't like it!

Lagoon

July 1, 2010 - 

Novell's Lagoon day was July 1st so of course we had to attend. We went last year as well, this year it was a little more complicated since we had Rowynne. We talked about taking her with us but we knew if we did it wasn't going to be much fun. So it took me a while but I knew it was going to be best to leave her. Aunt Robyn and family were the lucky ones who got to keep Rowynne company while we went to Lagoon and rode a lot of rides.

The swings are my favorite so we had to ride it. Cory said he wished that the swings threw them out into the pond. Hopefully that won't be happening any time soon or else I don't think the swings will be my favorite anymore. 

Lehi Parade

Around Utah all the cities usually have their own Parade, Fair, and possibly Rodeo. Lehi is one of those places. The Lehi Parade is nice because we never have to worry about finding somewhere to sit, because Grandma Peterson's home is right on the Parade route.  It's so nice to be able to sit under the big tree on her front lawn to try and escape some of the heat. It makes the parade that much more fun to watch.

The American Fork Marching Band... This is the real reason that we make it down to the parade to see Chersty and Regan in the Band. We always try and make them smile when they pass by (Since its against the Band rules to smile, they must stay in character the whole time. I guess it looks more professional if they are all serious instead of grinning)

The Parade was hot but a lot of fun! Can't wait till next year. Maybe Rowynne won't sleep through the whole thing next year. At least she wasn't bothered by the noise.
